Oversee the entire purchasing process, including order placement, price negotiation, PFI confirmation, production and shipment follow-up, and payment processing, ensuring all procedures are executed smoothly and on time.
Lead communication with suppliers, resolve issues, and connect information between suppliers and other departments.
Assist the Country Purchasing Manager in making the best purchasing decisions regarding quality, cost, and delivery time to achieve annual purchasing targets per brand.
Collaborate with the supply planning lead and sales team to validate and forecast product demand, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and inventory levels.
Follow up on all emails from/to suppliers and the purchasing department, ensuring timely and optimal feedback. Record all purchasing transactions, update relevant files, and prepare purchasing files with the Purchasing Specialist.
Track all orders and shipments from production to warehouse delivery, preparing related reports and checking profitability by product and overall.
Check and follow up with suppliers on production schedules and updated lead times.
Pre-plan with the financial team to secure the budget for payments of forecasted and current orders, ensuring all payments are made on time and receipts are tracked.
Review and prepare documentation needed for audit purposes, ensuring they are ready on time. Prepare customized reports and studies as requested by senior management.
Ensure all orders are placed on time according to each supplier’s cut-off dates.
Request suppliers to allocate giveaway items and catalogues to be shipped with cargoes per brand to support on-ground promotional activities.
Ensure yearly rebates, marketing support, and advertising budgets are secured and refunded in full by suppliers.
Analyze sales and purchasing data to gain insights, reflecting on it for future purchasing actions and negotiations.
Frequently reach out to existing and potential suppliers to explore new business opportunities or gather useful information.
Oversee and mentor purchasing team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Providing guidance, support, and leadership to enhance team performance and achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a trading organization, preferably in automotive or tire industry.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office, with the ability to create detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic.
Strong purchasing and supply chain management experience, with a proven ability to manage the end-to-end procurement process.
Excellent commercial acumen, with a strong trade mindset and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in digital and social media platforms, ensuring constant connectivity and responsiveness.
