Responsible to prepare research plans, proposals, and publications.
Ensure the implementation of qualitative and quantitative modeling and analysis to process and collect economic and statistical data.
Assist the head of economics and market research in identifying and proposing recommendations through the conducted research.
Excellent tracking of Economic calendars.
Focus on the various governmental and regulatory policies (IR updates, inflation levels, GDP changes, unemployment, budget deficits, monetary and fiscal policies, debt levels, and trade deficits, etc.).
Analyze the implementation of any new governmental/global policies, with a clear highlight of its impact on the bank.
Formulate forward-looking economic projections and analyze the possible outcome scenarios.
Work on a range of macro/microeconomics matters facing the country and region, and deep dive into technical details to recommend the bank's risk appetite and strategic direction.
Lead the interpretation of complex findings, projections, and outcome scenarios into understandable reports to appeal to diverse audiences (internal bank staff and clients).
Responsible for producing internal publications (domestic insights reports, macro-scale risk assessments, presentations, and other ad-hoc reports).
Responsible for compiling, reporting, and analyzing economic data with the aim to explain economic phenomena.
Remain fully informed on market trends and implement contemporary practices.
Lead the conduction of analyses, preparation of regular market reports, and conclusion of findings.
Identify the impact of economic updates on industries and sectors, with a keen eye on global industry performance.
Supervise the preparation of market research reports based on drawn-out findings through illustrating data graphically & translating complex findings.
Liable to share insights and findings with the Strategy team.
Research the market for competitive propositions to provide suggestions for various improvements.
Analyze the positioning of the bank within the banking sector through a full assessment of the overall bank’s weaknesses & strengths from a client’s perspective.
Formulate actionable recommendations based on the collected and reported data.
Follow-up on a regular basis on the recent market trends and competitive propositions to provide strategic recommendations for further improvements and enhancements.
In charge of the internal competitive database, ensuring that it is always up to date with the latest market information.
Ensure the correct functioning and implementation of the Permanent Supervision, Compliance and Money Laundering, Operational Risk, and Workplace Success Guidelines whenever and wherever possible.
Supervise the Department’s activities to ensure the correct adoption of policies and procedures to guarantee that the bank's business is conducted in compliance with Local Laws, Internal rules, and regulations, in addition to International Standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum 4-8 years of experience within the Economic Research field in banking, financial services, market research companies or governmental institutions.
High ability to demonstrate interpersonal, leadership, managerial, and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and observational skills.
Possess natural curiosity and a “big picture” mentality.
Ability to find reliable data and translate them into informative, apprehensible reports.
Proficiency in using statistical analysis applications & software packages.
Proficiency in implementing research methodologies, qualitative & quantitative research.
Fluency in spoken/written English and Arabic.
Excellent computer skills.
