LAWAZEM is looking for a skilled Demand Planner to join our dynamic team and ensure that our organization meets future demand to continue operating as efficiently and effectively as possible. In this role, you will be responsible estimating future demand for an organization’s products or services and analyzing inventory flow to build forecasting models. Ultimately, you will work with leaders within the organization to ensure we can continue to supply consumers based on future demand for our products or services.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales insights.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather information and incorporate it into demand planning.
Monitor and analyze customer demand patterns and adjust forecasts accordingly.
Utilize forecasting software and tools to generate accurate predictions and reports.
Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure product availability.
Communicate demand forecasts to relevant departments to align inventory and production planning.
Evaluate the effectiveness of demand planning processes and suggest improvements.
Participate in inventory management initiatives to minimize excess stock and reduce costs.
Prepare and present demand planning reports to management, highlighting key insights and trends.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform demand planning decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience minimum 7 years as a demand planner or in a similar role.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
Experience with demand forecasting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
