British American Tobacco Costa Ricahas an exciting opportunity for an Operations Finance Analyst in Heredia
This role is part of the Operations Finance team and has to provide proactive operations insights and transparency of factory decisions for effective resource allocation across the value chain; owns the development of strong operations awareness withing the factory functions and leads the development of best practice methodologies and tools. In addition, the role has to support the budgeting and forecasting process, as well as the drafting of the financial statements driving the control and analysis over materials and finished goods costs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Proactive business partnering in operations decision making process, bringing financial / business focus to operations activities, and raising teams´ awareness about financial Key Performance Indicators for evaluating the factory.
To facilitate effective resource allocation – support on preparation of budget/plan and provide accurate and timely information to assist factory management in supervising on going performance.
To provide operations management with financial information and Key Performance Indicators on plans and activities, while facilitating effective decisions making and improving spend efficiency.
Follow up on cost of sales with the respective variation analysis providing meaningful insights and concrete recommendations to the business.
Support the closing month process, as well as update the monthly and annual forecast exercises for costs.
Engagement with other functional areas to guarantee the right transfer prices and the accurate capitalization of savings identified.
Responsible for performance and documentation of various internal and SOX controls.
Develop and present analytics to the organization that highlight business risk and opportunities.
Where applicable, lead the team with integrity and encourage innovation, transformation, and continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?
At least 3 years of relevant experience in budget management and resource allocation. Is a plus experience in manufacturing and logistics costs processes.
University degree in Economics, Administration, Accounting, or relevant area.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Proactive, persuasive, creative and prepared to challenge existing ideas.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
Project management and analytical skills, plus the ability to define clear priorities in multi-project environments.
