Continuous Improvement Manager
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute Kaizen events throughout the company.
- Guide teams and individuals on applications of lean tools to FMCR business needs. Coach other staff in Lean systems methodologies, teach them to see waste and facilitate structured problem solving (Problem statement, Ishikawa, 5 whys etc.)
- Collaborate with manufacturing areas to ensure that GROWTTH is used in a manner that supports and enhances other company programs and systems, such as the Quality System, Theory of Constraints, safety programs, etc.
- Ensure that all changes are implemented in compliance with the QMS, (ISO13485 / FDA) and the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001) and other regulatory requirements relevant to the Company.
- Attend daily meetings on the line with Cell Teams to review the previous day’s production, any nonconformance’s or concerns and action items.
- Routinely review the attainment charts and troubleshoot items related to productivity, downtime, equipment and scrap.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a role involving training, leadership and facilitation of teams.
- Minimum of 2 years experience executing/implementing lean systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tool box.
- Experience in medical quality systems, product development, and manufacturing disciplines and understanding of required standards/regulations impacting medical devices preferred.
- Experience with MS Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Qualifications in Lean Systems, preferably Green Belt. If not, extensive experience in implementing waste reduction programs/projects using TQM / JIT or similar programmes. Lean Systems Green Belt must be achieved within 9 months of start.
- Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement methodology (Visual Management, Kaizen, 3P, 5S, SMED, MDI etc)
