Continuous Improvement Engineer, Sr. Staff or Principal

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer, reporting to Confluent's Sr. Director, Continuous Improvement.
As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:
Drive improvement / optimization projects to completion utilizing established tools such as Lean / Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving Methodologies, DOEs, Kaizens, 6S/5S, Kanban, etc.
Lead and Manage resources, efficiently and effectively to accomplish targets, goals and milestones On Time and On Budget of continuous improvement projects
Resolve conflicts and Identify solutions to move projects successfully to completion
Create / Define / Implement measures and metrics to ensure improvements are maintained while establishing a baseline for continued improvement of the process
Review, Interpret and Analyze statistical data to identify and implement transformational improvement solutions
Own the planning, facilitation and completion of continuous improvement projects
Engage appropriate levels of the Organization to understand and achieve success of identified continuous improvement projects
Support the establishment of a sustainable Continuous Improvement Culture by fostering a curious mindset and providing mentorship within the Organization
Follow all safety and production standard operating procedures.
Be responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years’ experience in Continuous Improvement, Engineering or Operations
Bachelor’s or Masters degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management or a related field
Project Management experience
Proven track record of success leading operational and/or strategic projects
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to Organization Leadership in a persuasive manner
Strong leadership skills within a matrixed Organization
Ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple functions up/down the Organization
A proven record of driving productivity and operational improvements in processes that support the success of the business
Ability to think independently and handle ambiguity while successfully accomplishing targets and goals
Up to 50% travel is required
