British American Tobacco Costa Rica has an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Receivable Assistant Manager in Heredia
This role aims to ensure the efficient execution of key financial and operational processes while driving continuous improvement and automation. The role supports BAU operations, ensures compliance, and provides actionable insights to enhance performance and optimize workflows. Additionally, the individual will manage stakeholder relationships and address escalations effectively.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop team members, fostering a supportive and high-performance environment while managing stakeholder expectations and handling escalations effectively.
- Facilitate ongoing training, meetings, and operational tasks to ensure team alignment and collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Oversee customer credit management, including credit checks, blocked sales orders in SAP, and perform the annual credit worthiness exercise for the top 15 customers by reviewing their financial statements and populating the scoring templates.
- Manage accounts receivable inquiries and ensure timely assessment and adjustments to customer credit limits.
- Prepare and approve account reconciliations using Blackline, review Webi journal requests, and ensure compliance with SOX controls.
- Supervise daily direct debit and perform daily reconciliation of direct debits, bank deposits, and SAP GL bank accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency across financial record.
- Monitor and review the Billing Due List, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies, and run the O2C Daily Checkpoint Dashboard in the absence of the task owner.
- Track O2C KPI performance, analyze prior results, and develop action plans to improve future operational outcomes.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years’ experience in Order to Cash processes, with a strong background in process integrity, continuous improvement, and automation.
- Leadership experience with direct reports to lead cross-functional teams, conduct training sessions, and drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Fluent English (Advanced).
- Problem-Solving, Adaptability, Proactivity, and Stakeholder Management skills.
- Continuous Improvement and Automation: Focused on driving continuous improvement efforts by analysing processes and identifying opportunities for optimization and automation to enhance efficiency.
- SAP working experience.
- Power BI and process mining tools proficiency (nice to have).
