This course engages in advanced theories and concepts of expanded cinema. Topics could include performing the self in social media; archiving the self; film and new media in the gallery space; art and immersion; expanded cinema as expanded consciousness; artists as case studies, etc.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate must hold an Ph D or MA in Film Studies or equivalent, with preference given to applicants with a Ph D. Experience with the history of film and expanded cinema is essential. University teaching experience is an asset.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
FILM 480BJ is currently scheduled Wednesdays from 1800-2045 – on-campus delivery.
