This role is ideal for passionate film enthusiasts with a strong background in writing and film criticism. The candidate will produce high-quality, branded content that represents our platform, guiding users and contributing to the direction of content creation. Responsibilities include producing film reviews, industry analyses, and other film-related content, as well as closely engaging with the community. Produce high-quality content, including film reviews, industry analyses, and lists that aligns with our content strategy and branding.
Develop a distinctive writing style that resonates with the platform’s audience while adhering to our quality standards.
Pitch topics and themes for weekly content on the website/app, aligning with the content team’s strategy.
Community Engagement:
Act as a blogger within the community, fully experiencing the platform's features and user feedback and providing detailed reports for product improvement.
Engage with users to foster a sense of community and encourage content creation that aligns with our needs.
Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with the product and operations teams, providing support and insights to enhance platform functionality and content quality.
Collaborate with the content team to ensure that content is aligned with strategic goals and user engagement objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above majored in Film Study, Creative Writing, Mass Media, Journalism or related fields. Or equivalent working experience in such areas.
Demonstrated experience in non-academic writing, with a strong portfolio showcasing film/media content.
Proficient in writing and editing in English and LATAM Spanish/Brazilian Portuguese.
Proven ability to produce high-quality content that resonates with audiences, particularly in the film industry.
Native proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese, with fluent English as a workplace language.
Strong knowledge of film, TV, and documentaries with a multicultural perspective.
Sensitivity to user experience and a basic understanding of platform operations.
Experience with social media content operations or as a social media influencer is an advantage.
Personal Attributes:
Passionate about film and media, with an in-depth understanding of the industry.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Experience with global or international work settings is preferred.
