Position is full-time, 12-month fixed term contract
Salary range $90,920 - $101,766 plus 15% superannuation

About the role Icon Water has an opportunity for a capable and hardworking individual to join as our Water Maintenance Officer. Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
Effectively undertake scheduled preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance tasks.
Plan and co-ordinate task completion using available resources and working within operational & procedural constraints and systems availability.
Complete required documentation and reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
Build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of people.
Ability to identify and recommend improvements to maintenance efficiency.
Participate in an emergency on-call roster as required to provide a 24-hour, 7 day a week breakdown and maintenance service. Usually rostered on call 1 week in 10.
Ability to identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments and perform work in accordance with implemented safe work practices and procedures.
Other duties as required within the employee’s skills, competence and training.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Ability to work safely with chemicals and in an industrial situation
Ability/Experience to work with Sewage
Possess an ACT Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent or higher
Willingness and ability to participate in appropriate training programs and emergency on-call rosters.
Ability to undertake physically demanding work including working in confined spaces. A pre-employment medical will be completed as part of the recruitment process.
Demonstrated ability to work and cooperate with other trades, individuals and work groups.
Ability to work under limited direction and supervision both as an individual and as a member of a small, self-directed work group.
