Primary objective
Support the provision of high quality warehouse, uniform management, general consumables and distribution services by helping managers
and staff with the ordering and delivery of supplies. Assist the Logistics Operations Manager with the receipt, storage, inventory control
and dispatch of store stock items.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Under the direction of the Logistics Operations Manager or Supply and Inventory Coordinator regularly monitor stock and supply
levels in the Stores Section to ensure store stock items are readily available for dispatch and stock records are accurate.
2. Receive and process online or physical stock orders from managers / staff, including reviewing orders for discrepancies and anomalies,
or incorrect cost codes, or to ensure they are properly authorised.
3. Receive, reconcile and store all incoming goods and process dispatch stock orders, including organising the shipping, packing, and
general dispatch of orders in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Organise uniforms or equipment for new recruits and maintain members’ uniform records to ensure Member uniform entitlements
are not exceeded
5. Process Resignation and Retirement Exit Checklists including advising Payroll and the relevant OIC / manager when uniform and
accountable items have not been returned.
6. Provide effective and responsive front counter customer services (face-to-face) as well as attending to phone and email
correspondence, undertake the administration of stocks and supplies and deliveries.
7. Comply with all relevant work health and safety rules regulations, policies and procedures and environmental requirements to ensure
own and safety of others.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated physical capacity to efficiently perform manual stock storage / warehousing tasks and good knowledge of warehousing
functions and procedures and the various types of Enterprise Resource Planning / inventory control systems likely to be encountered
in this type of role
2. Good all round communication and customer service skills, a positive work ethic and drive, and demonstrated ability to learn new
processes and concepts quickly and apply them across a range of duties to meet operational needs.
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail, along with good numeracy and IT skills to process incoming and outgoing stock and
accurately complete paperwork and count stock items for stock taking purposes.
4. Good team player with the ability to: work within a team environment and with limited supervision; work in a fast paced and target
driven environment; manage own workload; and apply own experience and logic to quickly identify problems, come up with practical
solutions to support problem resolution, and / or to know when to escalate to supervisor.
5. Previous experience in a similar warehousing, inventory control and dispatch role including experience driving forklifts
6. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and target driven environment and ability to safely undertake the duties of job including
managing own personal health and safety and monitoring the safety of others in the workplace
7. Good understanding and awareness of the manual handling and Dangerous Goods Handling standards and techniques and relevant
work health and safety responsibilities applying in the workplace.
8. Current NT Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence.
Desirable
1. Experience working with multiple stakeholders and / or experience fitting and / or organising bulk orders for uniforms.
