Information Division is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead our Testing Centre of Excellence (COE). The Capability Delivery Branch is responsible for delivering ICT products, including business applications, commercial off-the-shelf solutions, and infrastructure projects. Our testing team is vital in providing support across both project and sustainment activities.
As the Test Manager you will lead test management activities across projects and BAU sustainment activities, ensuring that all testing efforts are aligned with best practice. This role involves managing the test team, offering guidance, training, and support for their testing activities. You will oversee testing resources to ensure adequate test coverage for both projects and sustainment activities.
In this role, you will establish testing frameworks, strategies, and automated test suites, leveraging your expertise in automated testing to build the teams capabilities. You will focus on building an automated testing capability based on best practices, with an initial focus on automating regression testing to reduce manual testing efforts. Additionally, you will up-skill the testing team to ensure they are equipped to implement and maintain these automated testing solutions.
You will work closely with directors and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver various software development projects, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Portal technologies. You may have a hands-on testing role for critical work programs, in this you will also maintain the test suite in Azure Dev Ops while ensuring adherence to established testing standards.
We operate in a fast-paced environment and seek an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Test Manager. A strong background in a Test Manager role along with hands on experience in manual and automated testing is a must.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to plan and execute tests based on business and technical requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage that meets digital service standards, accessibility, and usability guidelines.

You must have hands-on experience in test automation development. Our ideal candidate will have experience as a Test Manager in ICT projects, with a proven track record of contributing to the delivery of project outcomes on time and within budget. You will possess well-developed communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
The successful candidate should have skills and experience in:
Establishing an automation testing capability within an organisation, including tool selection and implementation.
Leading and empowering a team of testers, providing mentoring and ensuring quality control in testing processes.
Developing divisional testing strategies to support both project initiatives and business-as-usual (BAU) programs of work.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and proficiency in using test tools such as Azure Dev Ops, combined with a comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle and the critical role of testing in successful project delivery.
Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing using COTS automation tools such as Tosca.
Leading various types of testing, including System, Integration, Regression, Performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Understanding the Digital Service Standard and being familiar with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Stakeholder relationship-management and communication skills, capable of engaging with all stakeholders including senior leadership, customers, vendors, and technical stakeholders, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical business language.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Test Manager role, overseeing testing teams responsible for system and integration testing for large-scale systems using both manual and automated testing methods.
