The Library is seeking to fill the ongoing role of Senior Systems Administrator (EL 1) within the Technology Operations Section as a part of the Digital Branch. Whilst this is a specialist technical role, it is a senior role, and it forms part of the Section’s leadership team.
As the Senior Systems Administrator you will develop, administer and maintain network infrastructure, including storage and network components. You will manage and support business continuity/disaster recovery infrastructure and will collaborate with Technology Operations subject matter experts and external vendors to install, upgrade, configure, tune and troubleshoot Virtual Infrastructure.

You will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for leading a team and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. It will be essential to understand their individual needs, interests, and concerns to achieve successful outcomes.
This role will ideally suit someone who has extensive subject matter expertise relevant to supporting and maintaining the NLA systems and infrastructure. This includes one or more of the following: server, storage, virtual, networks, databases, BCP and cloud as relevant to role requirements.
Tertiary qualifications and/or specific certifications/technical training in an IT related specialisation will also be highly regarded.
