The Role
As a Project Support Officer, you will be required to support the Assistant Secretary, Joint Information Capabilities Branch (AS JIC-B), in the day-to-day procedural, clerical and administrative tasks for the development and management of JIC-B Capabilities. JIC-B is responsible for overseeing the delivery of projects and programs that support Defence Electronic Warfare and Cyber Domain objectives.
The successful applicant will undertake a number of key duties including, but not limited to:
Management and mentorship of personnel;
Drafting of corporate documents;
Assessment and reporting of data;
Responding to RFIs relating to JIC-B accountabilities;
Interpretation of policy;
Governance assurance;
Management of internal and external stakeholders;
Management of high priority tasks;
Complex administrative functions; and
Provide support to the office of AS JIC-B.
About our Team
Joint Information Capabilities (JIC) is one of four branches within the Joint Capabilities Division in Joint Capabilities Group (JCG). JCG was formed in July 2017 with the mandate to deliver joint warfighting capabilities to the ADF. JIC-B is a blended workforce of APS, ADF, and Contracted personnel who work together with a One Defence mindset to support Defence outcomes with offices located within the Canberra region.
JIC-B develops and manages a number of capabilities being:
Joint Cyber & Influence (C&I);
Joint Simulation Capabilities (JSC);
Assured Position Navigation Timing (PNT);
Joint Electronic Warfare (EW); and
Project Management Office (PMO).
