The role We are looking for a project leader with extensive experience in managing assessments of bulk water supply infrastructure proposals who can contribute to the Queensland Government's infrastructure agenda. Imagine working on high profile activities and having your work valued and being a member of a diverse team using your skills across a range of disciplines including engineering, policy, financial and economic areas in providing high quality advice on bulk water infrastructure matters. In this role you will be involved in the assessment and advancement of key water projects in regional Queensland and in the assessment of the viability of a range of other water projects.
Key Duties and Accountabilities- Proactively identify strategic risks and opportunities and develop strategies and plans to maximise opportunities and minimise risk regarding the DRDMW's involvement in bulk water project consideration to align and support Queensland Government objectives in relation to sustainable economic development and environmental sustainability.- Provide high quality advice regarding the strategic risks and opportunities associated with advancing bulk water proposals and activities in regional Queensland in a range of communication approaches and mechanisms.- Lead and oversee technical water supply options assessment for large scale bulk water infrastructure proposals undertaken by the Department and its partners/stakeholders.- Lead the development of funding agreements for the provision of funding for the water infrastructure proposals funded successfully funded under the National Water Infrastructure Development Fund via a National Partnership Agreement with the Australian Government.- Developing and implementing high quality submissions, correspondence and processes to ensure the appropriate administration of the National Water Infrastructure Development Fund (capital component). This includes consideration of benefits and implications at a strategic level.- Liaison with proponents, State and Australian Government agencies regarding the process, including facilitation of an agency working group
