Salary: $106,025 pa - $117,363 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

We are looking for passionate, self-motivated and collaborative candidates, who bring program and policy skills to lead key projects that support the prevention of crime in the Criminal Justice system. Programs you will be a part of include the Traffic Offenders Intervention Program and Work Development Orders scheme.

What you’ll do

You will contribute to the coordination and development of key policy projects related to crime prevention programs within the criminal justice system.

You will support policy development, manage program delivery, commission evaluations, undertake procurement and coordinate stakeholders across agencies to address ongoing system gaps. Further, you will support the provision of strategic advice on emerging program and policy issues to progress key opportunities for system improvement.

The Crime Prevention Team provides advice on crime prevention policy, develops evidence based and innovative crime prevention initiatives, and manages a range of crime prevention programs. This team sits within the Women, Family and Community Safety Directorate, where it has a strong focus on working closely with local communities, including Aboriginal communities, to develop innovative, community-led responses to crime prevention and improving criminal justice outcomes.

What we’re looking for

In addition to the essential requirements listed in the role description, we are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in supporting the delivery and management of strategic project and support services related to crime prevention programs in the context of the NSW criminal justice system, or other similar experience with criminal justice reform and/or individuals with complex needs.
  • Sound analytical and writing skills.
  • Experience in project management including an ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders in Government and the non-government organisations.
  • Ability to coordinate a range of policy and project development activities and manage competing demands and priorities.
