We seek to appoint a highly experienced GENERAL MANAGER who will be pivotal in steering PCM Group to new heights. The Role
As General Manager (Australia), your business acumen, commercial awareness and proven leadership ability will be instrumental in driving business operations and growth. You will ensure financial, commercial, and operational oversight of PCM’s business interests across Australia.

The General Manager is a senior leader within our organisation and will be expected to work closely with the company directors and other members of the senior leadership team to inspire a collaborative culture across the business that builds trust, provides mutual support, and adds value to our employees, customers, and stakeholders alike.
Given the importance of this role we are seeking an experienced visionary leader who can uphold our reputation and maintain our position as an industry frontrunner.
To be considered for this role you must demonstrate a verified track as a General Manager or Senior Business Leader is a similar sized or larger enterprise.
Ideally you will meet all or most of the following:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall strategic direction for the business, aligning it with the company's goals and objectives. Provide guidance and support to the operational managers and support teams in achieving business targets, profitability, and growth.
Team Leadership: Lead a team of operational and support managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to ensure the development and engagement of team members.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and contracts. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry leaders to expand the company's presence and market share.
Project Management: Maintain oversight of the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful completion within agreed-upon parameters.
Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, methodologies, and best practices. Provide support to the team by assisting in complex problem-solving and decision-making.
Financial Management: Work with the directors and support teams to develop and manage financial targets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control measures. Monitor financial performance, analyse key metrics, and implement strategies to achieve profitability and growth targets.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with operational and project delivery. Implement effective risk management strategies and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry requirements.
Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration and communication between the operational managers and support teams. Work closely with the company directors, support functions, managers, supervisors, and operational teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives are met.
Governance: Act as an ambassador for the businesses management system and company governance. Ensure that all employees act with integrity and adhere to company policies and procedures. Ensure the team are kept up to date with regular and clear communications.
Work Ethics: Demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude, a willingness and capability to perform other duties as deemed appropriate and consistent with your appointment, professional qualifications, skills, and experience.
Travel: This role will require extensive travel to operational and client sites as required
We require the right person to have the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is essential. An advanced degree would be considered a plus.
Credibility and professionalism within the industry with substantial leadership experience at both business and operations levels. A minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience, preferably leading cross-sector multi-discipline asset integrity projects/ services.
A strong business acumen with a demonstrated track record P&L leadership, developing strategic plans, driving business operational targets and growth.
A strong understanding of contracts, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and implementing commercial strategies for added value and maximum return.
In-depth knowledge of asset integrity services, including regulations, best practices, and emerging trends. (A knowledge of naval nuclear asset integrity support would be highly regarded.)
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage diverse teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Practical experience of establishing and implementing collaborative working environments.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a strategic mindset.
Good all-round presentation skills, presenting effectively to differing stakeholders from operations teams to senior clients and company directors.
Capable of managing change quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining effective service delivery
