Primary objective
The NFR Data Remediation Team Leader supports the National Firearms Register (NFR) Project and Northern Territory
Police by managing and coordinating data remediation activities. This role focuses on enhancing team capabilities to maintain
high data quality, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of registry data.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage the Firearms Data Remediation process to ensure timely completion of audit processing and record
management tasks.
2. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data through analysis, documentation, risk management and problem resolution.
3. Provide advice on issues and developments related to the collection and management of data.
4. Facilitate continuous improvement by assisting with the implementation of processes and standards enabling accurate
processing of data and reports that meet requirements.
5. Work collaboratively with NFR Data remediation team members to increase capability by providing training, resources
and support and advice.
6. Adhere to defined service quality standards, standard operating procedures, work health and safety policies and
procedures.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated management experience and with the ability to work effectively as the leader of a small operational team
to achieve outputs.
2. Highly developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills for effective and professional communication and
influence.
3. High level of attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise quickly.
4. Proven ability to undertake high quality data entry and effective retrieval of information, including high level proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, data bases and other relevant business systems.
5. Demonstrated organisational skills including proven ability to deliver successful outcomes while working on multiple
complex projects where there are competing priorities and critical deadlines.
6. Knowledge and understanding of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of the issues, trends
and complexities related to the NT Firearms Act 1997 and the National Firearms Register.
Desirable
1. Qualifications in Information and Communications Technology, Business, or other relevant discipline.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with firearms.
3. Proficiency in the use of NT Police Information systems; Ser Pro, Sa FER, MDEA.
