Primary objective
Provide leadership and supervision of the Data Migration team working with subject matter experts and project teams to define, document
and communicate data migration requirements and associated data migration business rules.
Context statement
Digital Project Services (DPS) delivers very complex, high value, and high-risk ICT programs and multi-year digital transformation initiatives
for core frontline services through an inter-agency collaborative approach. Working closely with the client Agencies, the team comprises
of public sector employees and contractors working together to deliver multiple streams of activity as programs are implemented. The
work environment is dynamic, fast-paced and results driven with high expectations of superior service delivery. The Core Clinical Systems
Renewal Program (CCSRP) is a major technology program that will transform the delivery of health care services for Territorians by
delivering a Territory-wide single, integrated health electronic record system.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Work with subject matter experts and project team to define, document and communicate data migration requirements and
associated data migration business rules, conduct walk-throughs with stakeholders to obtain validation and approvals.
2. Develop and provide input into the design, planning and management of data migration processes, in order to deliver source to target
data mapping and data convergence, cleansing, validation and synchronisation rules.
3. Provide input and support to the migration and testing of data from one system to another including legacy and staging source
environments
4. Perform data migration reconciliation and exception reporting.
5. Identify opportunities for enhancements and refinements to data governance and data management practices, processes, and
standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.
6. Take responsibility for deliverables and ensure work packages are delivered on time and to expected quality standards as agreed with
the CCSRP Lead Data Analyst

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst on multi system data convergence and migration projects, including experience gathering
and documenting data requirements, data migration business rules and developing complex data maps.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information across project
teams and stakeholders with attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Strong knowledge of and experience with business intelligence packages and tools (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL, Oracle
etc.), including experience with SQL queries and report writing.
4. Demonstrated experience working with high performing teams, producing critical path deliverables within tight deadlines.
5. Well-developed knowledge of project management processes and techniques associated with the development and implementation
of new initiatives.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest and innovative.
Desirable
1. Experience and general familiarity with Health industry clinical terminology, data and systems.
2. Experience in testing, documentation preparation and systems implementation.
3. Experience in the Health or Information Technology industries (IT).
