About the team
The Aurion Technical team is a part of the Aurion System’s Section of the Shared Services Hub within the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR) and delivers a high quality service to our client agencies through provision of in-system automation and standardisation activities.
Functions of the team include:
- tier 3 escalation support for complex issue resolution
- development of in-system automations
- development of timekeeper rulesets
- business analysis and process improvements
- solution design for automation and standardisation implementations
- stakeholder engagement and vendor relationship management
- change management and audit compliance
- undertake testing of enhancements and products and support UAT activities

What you will do
Tasks that are undertake by the Aurion System Technical Specialist include:
- contribute and participate in developing and implementing the Aurion standardisation work plan-
- provide improved business processes and service delivery through automation
- develop configurable, reusable solutions for our clients
- develop documentation for solutions provided for our clients, including solutions documentation, scoping documentation, blueprints of in-system automation, undertake functional testing of solutions developed and UAT support
- continued support of DISR’ and client Agencies instances of Aurion
- provide reliable, accurate and timely information to senior management
- contribute to the Shared Service Hubs broader projects
- work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to achieve common goals
- provide a high-level customer service to our client agencies and stakeholders
- provide training, mentoring and support to team members
- contribute to taskforces and committees, where appropriate
- contribute to a collaborative culture within the division
- ensure compliance with relevant policies, such as Accountable Authority Instructions, delegations and human resource policies, relevant legislative responsibilities, including privacy and work health and safety, protective Security policies and practices
- contribute to timely implementation of Aurion-related audit recommendations
Eligibility
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
