About the Role
The Asset Management branch delivers agile and transformative Asset Management best practice strategies, enabling council to be a leader in providing innovative and sustainable services to its communities.
As an Asset Information Officer, you will provide advanced and comprehensive Asset Information activities that supports the operations of the Asset Information Services Team.
About you
You will liaise with asset providers to ensure the accurate collection, recording and reporting of “As Constructed” data using appropriate technologies such as corporate Geographic Information Systems (GIS), ADAC (Asset Design & As Constructed software) and corporate asset management system.
You will partner with the business to educate and train end users (internal and external) on asset recording tools and new technologies for collecting and supplying asset management related information, and work with team members and various other officers across Council to provide relevant information on new infrastructure to external parties in accordance with all legislative requirements.
You will contribute to the ongoing development of data management systems and associated processes for the collection, recording and reporting of asset related information, and assist with the ongoing process of valuing all new contributed and capital assets in compliance with accounting standards, quality assurance and financial auditing requirements.
As a requirement of this role, you will possess relevant qualifications in Geographic Information Systems or a relevant field, or a combination of experience, expertise, and competency relevant to the position.
You will have demonstrated sound skills in the use of ESRI ARC-GIS® (Geographic Information System) products and associated data management tools including FME®.
You will possess a “C” Class Drivers License.
You will have demonstrated ability to work as an effective and positive team member, demonstrating a ‘can-do’ and flexible attitude, with a commitment to achieving team objectives in a customer focused environment, and strong time management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently, resolve routine problems and follow tasks through to completion accurately and on time.
