Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee all procurement operations for our hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Handle all aspects of procurement, including local and international ordering, buying, and delivery of goods within the Dominican Republic and globally.
- International Shipments: Oversee international shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Customs and Permits: Manage customs processes for imported merchandise and handle necessary permits.
- Supplier Communication: Maintain regular communication with suppliers to stay informed about market trends and product availability.
- Supplier Acquisition: Actively seek out new suppliers to secure products at the best price and quality.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth purchasing procedures and maintain an overview of inventory levels.
- Process Improvement: Initiate and develop projects to enhance processes in alignment with hotel standards.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for management and corporate review.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, industrial engineering with specialization in purchasing
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a purchaser or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Time Management and Organizational Skills: Shows good time management and organizational abilities.
- Responsibility and Resilience: Takes responsibility for tasks and shows resilience.
- Ability in MS Office Programs: Has a good command of MS Office applications.
- Possessing a driver’s license and having experience in operating a manual vehicle is essential.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
