Job Summary
Under the general guidance of the Assistant Director of Records and Registration (CE) and Dean of Student Services, this position is responsible for the data entry and maintenance of Workforce Continuing Education class files. Additional duties include providing support to the office of Records and Registration and Student Services.
  • Perform secretarial/clerical support functions for the Assistant Director of Records and Registration (CE) and the office of Records and Registration.
  • In the absence of the Division Assistant, provide office coverage which may include answering the telephone and assisting students in the reception area of Student Services.
  • Establish and maintain Workforce Continuing Education class packets to include but not limited to registration forms, class rosters and contracts.
  • Perform data entry functions necessary to carry out registration responsibilities.
  • Provide technical assistance to Workforce Continuing Education instructors, Coordinators, and/or Directors with registration, class rosters, Web Attendance and Web Grading as applicable.
  • Assist with end of term processes which include but are not limited to completing CE class packets, compiling statistical data for institutional use and submission of state and federal reports to include all North Carolina Community College System requirements.
  • Assist with closing out class files by verifying class registration forms, class rosters, class receipts, instructor contracts, timesheets, and final grading (other documents may be required depending on program area).
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends.
  • Attend trainings (travel and webinars) related to job responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Records and Registration.


Hiring Range – Minimum to Midpoint ($2,600 – 2,670/monthly)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education, background, and/or training equivalent to a two-year technical/community college degree required.
  • Effective communication skills in dealing with the public.
  • Experience in electronic data entry required.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgement in handling confidential material.



Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in an office setting preferred including familiarity with procedures, practices and use of equipment.
