Job Summary: Carver Water Technology, a leader in innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions, is seeking a skilled Water Treatment Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing our water treatment systems to ensure operational excellence and compliance with environmental standards. Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical and Hydraulic Repairs:
Repair or replace faulty pumps as identified in inspection reports, ensuring compatibility with system requirements for flow and pressure.
Conduct routine checks and maintenance of pump alignment and connections to guarantee smooth operation.
Manage the replacement of media filters (e.g., sand, anthracite) and cartridge filters to uphold high filtration efficiency and water quality standards.
Perform inspections and repairs on filter housings to ensure they are securely sealed.
Valve and Piping System Management:
Repair or replace damaged valves, instruments, and pipe components
Replace sections of piping as necessary, confirming all new installations meet system specifications for size, material, and durability.
Inspect piping connections for leaks and verify proper flow dynamics within the system.
Chemical Dosing and Pre-Treatment System Maintenance:
Repair or replace defective chemical dosing pumps and recalibrate controls to accurately match feed water conditions.
Adjust dosing mechanisms according to real-time flow rates and operational conditions to ensure efficient system performance.
Electrical and Control Systems Maintenance:
Execute wiring tasks from control panels to instruments, ensuring compliance with safety standards and proper functioning below 120V.
Test and verify the continuity and signal integrity of all wiring connections to prevent system errors.
Calibrate sensors and instruments based on specific requirements to maintain accurate system monitoring and reporting.
Reconnect and configure any faulty or disconnected sensors, ensuring their proper integration into the system's PLC or relay controls.
Basic Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; further technical training or certification in water treatment or related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a water treatment maintenance role, with a strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, chemical, and electrical systems.
Technical Skills: Profound knowledge of water treatment processes, including pump operations, chemical dosing, filtration systems, and electrical controls.
Certifications: Certification as a Water Treatment Operator or a similar credential is highly desirable.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with water treatment operational software.
