Wastewater Treatment Plant Assistant/ Shift Operator

The City of Corning has one opening for a Wastewater treatment plant assistant / shift operator in the Public Works Treatment Plant.
The job entails the actual operation of a wastewater treatment plant. The work is carried out in accordance with well-established and accepted operating procedures as well as strict guidelines and regulations as promulgated and monitored by the NYS DEC. A copy of the job description is available upon request.
Applicant must possess a valid NYS Class B Driver's License or Permit. Possession of a NYS DEC Wastewater Treatment Plant grade 2 certificate and graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
