We are looking for a skilled Used Car Reconditioning Technician who is well versed in vehicle diagnostics and complex repairs to join our team. As a Used Car Reconditioning Technician, you will inspect and perform necessary maintenance and repairs on trade-ins and purchased vehicles for our pre-owned inventory, ensuring vehicles are safe and ready for their new owner. Core Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive multi-point inspections on used cars to identify damages and maintenance needs, documenting findings and recommended repairs
Perform thorough diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Inform the Service Director of any additional services or repairs needed, estimating the time needed to complete the work
Perform work on the repair order per dealership standards and document all work completed
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience performing automotive inspections, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance required
BMW experience and certifications are preferred; ASE certifications are a plus
Demonstrates thorough workmanship coupled with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
Effective written and verbal communication and general computer skills
Collaborative and willing to work as part of a team
Must have your own tools and tool box
Ability to handle the physical demands of the job (frequent heavy lifting and standing, bending or kneeling for extended periods)
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Hours and Work Environment Our Service Department is open Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm and Saturday 8am – 5pm. We offer a 5-day workweek, and ask that all applicants be available to work any of the days and times listed above.
