The Call Team Sonographer will not work in staffing but will work to take call on a rotating 7-day-on, 7-day-off call schedule. The Call Team Sonographer will not be required to work in staffing or take call during their off week. This will be a salary position.
The Ultrasound (US) Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic images for medical interpretation through use of multi-frequency sound waves. They will identify normal and abnormal imaging results, communicating a summary of the results to physicians or other health professionals. They will interact with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments and with patient’s families and visitors through oral communication and documentation in the patient’s electronic medical record. This position is held accountable for performing the correct US exams and producing high quality diagnostic images, while maintaining proficiency and complying with Conway Regional Health System policies and procedures. The US technologist will independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner or physician assistant in the completion of diagnostic exams and invasive procedures.

This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited sonography program
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences or related field, preferred
Certification in OB/GYN and Abdomen, preferred
Vascular certification from a recognized accrediting body (Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)) required within one year of employment
