Job Title: Medsurg, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Binghamton, NY
Blended Rate: $1600/wk
Shift: 3x12s - 36hrs - Nights
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) team in Binghamton, NY. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:

Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as prescribed by the physician.
Monitor patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and daily activities to promote comfort and well-being.
Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions to the RN or physician.
Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, including charting in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
Provide patient and family education on health conditions, post-operative care, and medication management.
Support RNs and other healthcare professionals with clinical tasks as needed.
Work effectively with the Med-Surg team to deliver coordinated, holistic care.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues.

Requirements:

Current and valid LPN license in the state of New York.
Previous experience in a Med-Surg setting is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
