Travel Registered Nurse

Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Skowhegan, ME
Shift: 3x12-hour shifts, Nights
Compensation: $1,950 per week
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position at a healthcare facility in Skowhegan, ME. This position involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week, providing top-notch nursing care and ensuring patient safety. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, be adaptable in a variety of settings, and enjoy the rewards of providing quality care in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to patients with acute or chronic conditions, following facility protocols and individual care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed, ensuring patient comfort and responding to changes in patient conditions.
Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to deliver coordinated care to each patient.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, promoting a clear understanding and peace of mind.
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record (EHR) for effective communication and continuity of care.
Follow all safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards as required by facility policies.

Qualifications:

Active RN license in Maine (or compact license)
Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a relevant acute care setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to adapt to various patient needs and work effectively in a night-shift role.
