South Dakota Mines is seeking a Testing Center Coordinator to be part of the Student Success Administrative team. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position. The Testing Center Coordinator will successfully manage all operations of the campus Testing Center, as well as administer and oversee the Tutoring Center. Operations of the testing center include administration and scheduling of exams, training and supervision of proctors, and assisting with designated budget planning and monitoring of expenditures and inventory. Operations of the Tutoring Center include hiring, scheduling, and oversight of tutors, communication to the campus community regarding tutoring services, and continuous improvement through comprehensive assessment plans.
A bachelor’s degree is required along with 1 to 3 years of related experience; a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have experience and/or interest in education, higher education, student services, advising/mentoring, or related fields. Knowledge of correct testing procedures, planning and scheduling techniques, and educational development test administration and interpretation preferred. A successful applicant will have effective written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, and an extraordinarily high level of organization. The ability to maintain confidentiality is required, and knowledge or experience working with students with testing accommodations is preferred. The position also requires a valid driver’s license, and occasional irregular work hours.
