The Director of Data & Operations leads the operations staff for Institutional Advancement and is a key partner in serving the DSU Foundation. The position reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of gift processing, donor database management, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making, optimize fundraising campaigns, and enhance donor engagement.
- Develop and implement comprehensive advancement operations strategies that align with our organizational goals and mission.
- Lead, mentor, and empower a team within Institutional Advancement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, implementing new technologies and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in a relevant field such as Business Management, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in advancement services, fundraising, development, or a closely related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM and fundraising software (e.g., Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Familiarity with compliance and ethical standards in fundraising and nonprofit management.
- Understanding of donor relations, stewardship, and fundraising campaign management.
- In-depth knowledge of fundraising principles, strategies, and best practices.
