The University of South Dakota’s TRIO Programs is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Program Assistant.TRIO programs support students who are first-generation, low-income, or students with disabilities and include TRIO Student Support Services, TRIO Talent Search, TRIO Talent Search – Sioux Falls, and TRIO Upward Bound.
This position is responsible for providing high-level administrative support for all four programs that includes maintaining travel, budget, purchasing, human resources, and other records; supervising student employees; and informing others about program guidelines and University policies and procedures.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are required.
Some knowledge of bookkeeping and/or accounting principles is required.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse people required.
Office administrative experience required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
Knowledge of Banner, Datatel and USD policies and procedures is highly preferred.
Position is grant funded. Continued employment is contingent on availability of funding.
