As our Technical Writer/Editor, you will be instrumental in creating impactful case studies, comprehensive user guides, and insightful scientific publications that highlight MPA’s expertise and solutions. Your work will directly enhance our reputation as a trusted leader in maritime hazard assessment and environmental modeling, supporting client engagement and industry recognition. Key Responsibilities As our Technical Writer/Editor, you’ll develop a range of materials that communicate complex information in a clear, user-focused way, including: · Detailed white papers on our modeling and analysis systems · Validation and Verification studies for our transport, fate and dispersion models · User’s Guides and Manuals for our modeling and analysis tools In addition to the preparation of the above materials you will be asked to: · Collaborate on the preparation of peer-reviewed journal articles · Create and maintain the information architecture for technical content · Provide editorial oversight on marketing material for quality and brand alignment Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication or related field · Minimum three (3) years of experience in technical writing, preferably in software or environmental industries · Strong written communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and attention to detail · Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, client focused content · Experience with Markdown and static site generation tools such as MKDocs · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment · Familiarity with scientific publishing or experience in preparing documents for peer-reviewed journals is a plus.
