Job Title: Surgical Services Scrub Tech In Newport, VT

Job Summary:

Our healthcare facility in Newport, VT is seeking a Surgical Services Scrub Tech to assist our surgical team in providing safe and efficient patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the operating room, arranging surgical equipment and ensuring surgical instruments are clean, sterile, and in excellent condition. The Surgical Services Scrub Tech will also assist the surgical team during procedures, monitor patients and ensure that surgical equipment and instruments are properly maintained and stored.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Prepare the operating room before surgical procedures
Ensure that surgical equipment and instruments are clean, sterile and in good condition
Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures
Monitor patients during surgical procedures
Keep detailed records of surgical procedures
Manage and handle surgical equipment and supplies
Clean and disinfect surgical equipment and instruments
Communicate with team members and physicians to ensure smooth surgical procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate or bachelor's degree in surgical technology is preferred
Certification from an accredited surgical tech program
Must have excellent attention to detail and be highly organized
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment and procedures
Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
