Responsibilities
Set up stages, chairs, tables, platforms, bleachers, tents and other equipment as required for special events by following directions from Support Service Supervisor/Crew Leader so that all physical arrangements and all tasks may be completed prior to each event. Help other shops when specialized assistance is needed in the buildings and when special events are being held. Provide service during special events as requested by Supervisor or Crew Leader of Support Service. Provide assistance to University departments needing special set ups for events, insuring that the events are run smoothly and without problems. Individual must be available to work extra hours and on weekends as required.
Qualifications
High School degree or GED required. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Work requires basic mathematical knowledge and ability to interpret diagrams generally acquired through a high school education.
Salary
Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Work requires six (6) months experience for technician preferred in the set up of special events equipment or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Ability to lift up to 80 pounds. A valid MS driver’s license required.
