This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon funding from the grant. In accordance with the provisions of the Students First Act, ACT-2011-270, non-probationary status is not attainable by virtue of employment in this position, the funding and duration of which are finite. Under the general direction of the Title III Project Coordinator, the employee manages the Career Center, coordinates career planning and job placement activities for students and graduates, and coordinates the internship program. Salary: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule C3 Rank II: $59,979-$96,761, which is based on years of directly related full-time experience. Coordinate and oversee Summer Boot Camp. 3. Coordinate and supervise SENSE seminar course. 4. Manage the Career Center. 5. Supervise and evaluate support personnel. 6. Develop, implement, and coordinate strong internship/co-op programs for students. 7. Coordinate an annual career fair and periodic on-campus recruiting visits by local employees. 8. Provide workshops and training for faculty and staff. 9. Coordinate career planning and job placement activities for students and graduates. 10. Administer and interpret career assessment in inventories to assist students in career exploration and planning. 11. Develop and coordinate career awareness and career exploration activities to meet with the needs of prospective, special populations, and target groups. 12. Develop and conduct workshops, seminars, and activities to assist students with preparation for employment and/or transfer to four-year institutions. 13. Advise students and assist with registration each term. 14. Schedule industry and program-related speakers on campus as well as business and industry tours. 15. Assist with New Student Orientation. 16. Facilitate/teach ORI 105 Orientation and Student Success course as needed. 17. Develop and maintain career services and success coaching information on website. 18. Maintain accurate documentation of all employer contacts, job listings, and services to students and prepare summary reports each term. 19. Maintain a database documenting accurate and current job placement, salary, and transfer information for all students and graduates. 20. Conduct graduating student, employer satisfaction, and other surveys as appropriate. 21. Compile, organize, analyze, and evaluate survey results and make recommendations as appropriate. 22. Assist with collecting, analyzing, and reporting Gainful Employment data for career technical programs. 23. Perform other duties as assigned. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Maintain appropriate work hours as outlined in State and College policies and assigned by supervisor. 7. Recruit potential students, both traditional and nontraditional, to the College, and assist in retention efforts. 8. Represent the institution in a positive manner. 9. Participate in advance registration, regular registration, and schedule adjustment as assigned. 10. Serve on committees as assigned. 11. Participate in graduation and other college activities. 12. Participate in the College's planning process. 13. As a Campus Security Authority (CSA), report to the official or office designated by the institution to collect crime report information, such as the campus police or security department, those allegations of Clery Act crimes that the CSA concludes were made in good faith. 14. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution
Three (3) years of full-time experience working with college-level students
Supervisory experience required
Ability to obtain advisor certification
Knowledge of survey administration and analysis
Ability to understand reporting requirements and federal funding requirements, policies, and procedures
High degree of workplace professionalism
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Proficiency in public speaking before small and large groups
Effective oral and written communication skills; proficiency in the English language
Ability to work a flexible, nonstandard workweek
Competent use of Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualification:
Experience with career assessments and career placement services
