Position Summary Primarily responsible for ensuring that customer parts and work instructions are properly received and entered into the production database and picking, updating and printing shipment paperwork for all customer repair orders. Additionally, stocks repair and new production parts into finished goods stockroom. Generates export documents and any other customer specified requirements. Must effectively communicate with Cell Technicians/Operators, Cell Technical Leads, Operation Team Leaders, Site Leadership Team and Customer Service Team of relevant material/information flow activities.
Responsibilities
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer purchase orders
Use standards business applications software and to learn specific databases needed for receiving customer orders.
Effectively communicate and present information to team members and team leaders
Planning pick schedules to ensure orders meet carrier window times
Updating systems with necessary information required to pull appropriate stock from finished goods stockroom and generate correct shipping information
Daily tracking of parts due by order
Properly documents all material transactions and moves finished goods to Shipping Department.
Generating EEI (export) documents when required
Replenishes empty line stock signals and kits low volume components as required.
Reconciles records or notifies others when material quantity, description or quality does not match recorded or intended levels.
Proactively identifies and takes corrective action or eliminates unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Keeps work areas clean and organized for self and others daily.
Complies with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations; ensures adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
4-7 years direct industry related experience in assembly/test in a high technology manufacturing environment. Able to work independently with limited supervisory guidance. Knowledge of Parker Aerospace products desired.
Prior knowledge of components and flow of material.
As required, must be able to set up test fixtures independently.
Able to adapt to procedures, techniques, and/or processes to meet special needs on varied assignments.
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
Perform semi-complex mathematical calculations, as well as demonstrate effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills.
Able to implement and effectively apply lean initiatives.
Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a high performing team environment.
Able to interpret reports and use standard business software applications.
Able to use employee self-service system to access on-line information and use specialized automated systems
Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
