Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Manager Software Engineering 2 – Systems Integration and Automation Lead - 13784. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers, providing guidance and assigning work for the automation, integration, testing, and tracking of Weapon System software. The candidate will collaborate closely with the Dev Star build promotion team and be responsible for the following:

• Development of requirement verification tests using NG developed framework

• Perform certification risk reduction through incremental deliveries of software, executables, dependencies, and CDRLS

• Review Software Assurance and review static analysis scans with internal and external stakeholders

• Ensure adherence to software coding standards

• Collaborate on system-level CI/CD pipelines

• WPL duties for IMS/CEAC tracking and reporting

The candidate will be responsible for assessing staffing needs, current as well as projected and working with the respective team leads to address those needs. He/she will also be responsible for supporting recruitment activities including the creation of requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers. Responsibilities include working with the program software manager and technical leads in establishing personal program and functional goals as well as performing performance evaluations and merit adjustments for subordinates. The candidate will provide their subordinates with career development recommendations, mentoring, discipline, as necessary. It is expected that the candidate will provide their team with regular flow down of company and organizational status and appropriately represent and be a spokesperson for the Software Engineering organization to their group, assigned project, and the company.
This position is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform functional management activities as well as program responsibilities. It is expected that the Functional management role will comprise up to 20% of the candidate's time.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• 6 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution, 4 years with Masters or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Active Do D Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Minimum 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
• Experience coordinating with multiple teams and organizations.

• Experience with individual contributor performance assessments
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks
• Operates independently with limited to no supervision, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers
• Able to assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans and then execute those plans
• Experience leading Software Engineering teams.

Salary Range: $131,200 - $196,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
