Receives the majority of incoming phone calls from hospital staff, vendors, and other customers. Maintains all computerized maintenance records along with the filing of equipment manuals and paper records. Maintains Plant Engineering training logs, department meeting minutes, Safety manual updates and all policy and procedure changes. Supplies labor hours for department productivity reports. Keeps customers up-to-date with work order and project timetables and status. Handles two-way radio communications with staff which could involve the dispatching of high priority work requests, calls for assistance and/or information.
Job Specifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Should have clerical background and experience with office equipment and personal computers. Must have typing skills
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Proficiency in office procedures such as word processing, filing, writing, answering phones and conveying information. Knowledge of computer database management. Must possess good organizational and communications skills.
