Position Overview
The Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to meet customer demands while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure that production processes align with supply chain capabilities and inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders and forecasts.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment of production plans.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage and track production data and inventory levels.
- Analyze production performance and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor safety stock levels and implement strategies to prevent inventory shortages.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and their application in production planning.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across various departments.
- Nice to have: Experience with production scheduling tools, specifically Epicor.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with safety stock management and quality systems.
- Nice to have: Experience with forecasting techniques.
