ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Citizen Potawatomi Nation Health Services SUPERVISOR: Infection Control/ Public health Coordinator FLSA: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: $21.00-$30.00
ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
CPN Health Services personnel may be assigned to provide services to patients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.
JOB SUMMARY: To assist the Infection Control/Public Health Coordinator with assigned duties and responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists the coordinator on protocols and standard operating procedures.
Assists Infection Control/Public Health with planning/attending outreach events/programs, both internally and externally.
Assist in oversight of Infection Control/Public Health responsibilities concerning Employee Health, Workers Compensation cases, PHIDDO system management, and assist with sti/disease intervention case management.
Notify patients by phone or mail regarding lab work or diagnostic testing as directed by provider.
Provide patient instruction/teaching regarding medications, diagnostic test, lab results, and documents within the electronic health record.
Available to act as a witness in signing of consent forms and advance directives as needed.
Performs all general nursing functions within scope of practice.
Assist to enhance staff competencies through targeted training and continuous professional development initiatives to maintain high standards of professional skills, patient care, and patient safety.
Provides staffing coverage in Public Health in the event of call in or vacancy.
Coordinates with Infection Control/Public Health Coordinator for supplies and equipment need.
Performs all other duties assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with patients, providers, and others.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patients encounters. o Excellent computer skills are needed.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION: e Licensed in the State of Oklahoma as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience with public health.
Experience in clinical setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
e Stretching, bending, stooping, kneeling and some lifting may be required. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: e General clinical environment with frequent exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens and patient body fluids.
Normal health facility office environment but not limited to office only.
Occasional travel may be required.
