We are seeking a skilled Human Resource Advisor to join our team in the New York region. The Day-to-Day
Actively participate in the full HR integration of two new companies in the Hudson Valley region and, if required, the integration of future O&M acquisitions in the Northeastern United States;
Proactively maintain strong, positive, and rewarding relationships with employees and managers by overseeing all aspects of employee relations and effectively balancing the needs of employees and H2O;
Oversee and improve the onboarding process for all new employees, continuously measuring and assessing the program’s effectiveness;
Participate in the development and deployment of various HR initiatives, ensuring the coherent evolution of existing HR processes, tools, policies, and practices;
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator to drive results by creating new programs to accelerate the attraction, development, and retention of talent;
Serve as an ambassador of H2O’s culture and HR brand;
Manage and enhance the entire recruitment process;
Support the development of a qualified, diverse, and representative workforce;
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation;
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance;
Advise and assist employees and managers with various HR requests;
Implement and coordinate a performance evaluation process and conduct formal annual follow-ups;
Support managers and employees through professional development discussions, identifying resources, and providing access to necessary information to help them grow in their roles;
Participate in the renewal of group insurance plans and assist the insurance brokers and HR team dedicated to group insurance during presentations and processes;
Recommend and implement various HR initiatives to engage and retain team members;
Perform all other tasks related to the position.
The Skills We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
Five (5) years of HR experience, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, and talent management;
Strong communication & teamwork skills;
Ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organization;
Good knowledge of HR policies, practices, and legal regulations;
Experience in creating and implementing HR programs;
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
Willingness to travel as needed for integration and recruitment activities.
