A Senate Committee seeks an organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as Resource Clerk. This position is nonpartisan and supports both Majority and Minority Members and staff. Responsibilities include directing research requests on Committee history or precedents and parliamentary queries, hearing/executive business meeting record digital filing and transparency, direction of data backfill to Proforma (Committee’s web application for hearing, communications, and executive business meeting record-keeping). Additional duties may include non-designated archiving, tabulation of the Committee Activities Report, and tracking/filing/circulating official communications (agency reports, executive communications). This position will report to the Chief Clerk and work closely with Committee clerks and staff. Position requires discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive Committee matters in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates will have a background in library and information science, research, and/or archiving; strong verbal and written skills; demonstrated interest in process design and technology innovation/implementation; and excel in preemptive communication and multi-tasking. Previous Senate experience is preferred but not required. This is not an entry level position.
