Job Summary:
The University of Colorado, School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a full time Research Services Professional to support department research activities for Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics. Responsibilities include administration, implementation and reporting of research and quality improvement programs. Activities include research administration activities such as database creation, meetings, protocol creation and dissemination activities as well as preparing IRB applications, grant applications and report writing. Research conduct activities include literature reviews, creating and managing Radiation specific EMR data collection processes, advanced chart review and preparing materials for presentations and manuscripts. Finally, research information activities will involve the creation of reporting tools, data visualization support and data management and analysis for clinical and research multi-disciplinary teams. This role involves multiple competing priorities, problem solving and effective communication to facilitate departmental research and quality improvement aims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write reports, prepare Internal Review Board (IRB) and internal/external grant applications.
- Support Principal Investigators in study administration.
- Create and maintain databases and reports for stakeholders.
- Independently and creatively identify bioinformatic and data management solutions.
- Assist with creation and implementation of processes, protocols, operating procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with University, State, and Federal guidelines on human subject research and grant administration.
- Collaborate with University and external partners.
Work Location:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week on the Anschutz Medical Campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Senior:

- Two (2) years clinical research or related experience
Principal:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Three (3) years clinical research or relate experience

{Clinical Research Nurse} Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) degree and two (2) additional years of experience will substitute for the BSN degree
- {Clinical Research Nurse} Current licensure as a registered nurse
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- 3-5 years of professional level experience in related field.

- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
Entry Professional: $47,743-$60,729
Intermediate Professional: $51,956-$66,088
Senior Professional: $56,169-$71,447
Principal Professional: $64,594-$82,164
The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
