Job Title: RN Behavioral Health
Location: 100 Park St, Glens Falls, NY 12801
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Shift: Nights: 6.45p-7.15a
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/scheduled --- 24/hrs/week guarantee
Pay Details:
For Local Candidates pay rate: $60 to $70/hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $65.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $1,560.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $30.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $720.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $840.00
OR
For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $70.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $1,680.00

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit, including pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations.
- Perform assessments, develop care plans, and administer medications as per established protocols.
- Implement de-escalation techniques with patients in crisis or exhibiting aggressive behaviors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and counselors, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and changes in behavior.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records (EHR) for patient documentation and care coordination.
- 2+ years of Behavioral Health Unit experience required.
- Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
- Proven experience in de-escalating agitated patients and managing behavioral health crises.
- De-Escalation Training (CPI, NAPPI, or WELLE certifications) required.
- EPIC experience required for documentation and patient management.
- Recent travel experience in nursing strongly preferred.
- Traveler candidates must have their own vehicle—this is a firm requirement for the position.
- Previous experience in an inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
- Certification in psychiatric nursing or related specialties is a plus.
