POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for implementing the Pillars of AMP (Avtron Management Process) within the region to actively drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize operational processes, and eliminate waste to enhance efficiency and reduce overall cash-to-cash lead-time on the Value Stream Map.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Responsibilities:
Lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, eliminating waste, reducing lead times, and improving overall efficiency with the Region.
Identify and implement lean tools and techniques that align with the company's goals for operational excellence and cost reduction.
Collaborate with various departments, including production, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure a holistic approach to lean implementation across the organization.
Develop and deliver training programs on lean principles and practices to employees at all levels of the organization within the Region.
Mentor and coach teams in the application of lean tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and empowering employees to actively participate in lean initiatives.
Implement tracking for AMP performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of lean initiatives and track improvements in operational efficiency within the Region.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress of AMP initiatives, highlighting achievements and areas for further improvement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical field. Lean / Six Sigma certifications a plus.
Possess a proven track record of at least 10 years in lean management, with a focus on implementing lean principles in processes within the manufacturing industry.
Demonstrate expertise in lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement techniques.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Ability to drive results and influence others in a team-oriented environment.
Strong customer service aptitude to support internal and external customers.
Computer proficiency.
