Good communication skills
Working knowledge of computer programs (Excel and Word)
Knowledge of drill and tool types
Ability to learn various computer programs and how they link together to provide information
Ability to learn different shipping companies
Ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack for material handling
A typical day may look like this:
Prioritizing work to be received
Accounting for correct quantities, sizes and drills
Solving problems with differing requirements and circumstances of orders
Communicate with buyers to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Shipping outgoing materials
Complete reports for daily audits
File Packing slips in a neat organized fashion
