Location: Milford, CT (or surrounding areas)
Salary: $90K-$120K base (salary can be higher depending on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Lead and conduct internal and external audits to assess and improve quality processes.
- Manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes to address quality issues effectively.
- Oversee product testing and inspections to ensure that all products meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure supplier quality assurance and address any quality-related concerns.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including DMRs and APQP documentation.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct regular quality assessments of manufacturing processes.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor staff on quality assurance best practices and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles.
- Experience with QMS, CAPA, NCR, and audits is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with product testing, inspections, and quality control processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in the lighting or power electronics industries is a plus.
