Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of buyers assigned to commodity group, planning and organizing all tasks.
- Be a strong team player with ability to work effectively on cross-functional Product Development Teams to support the quotation process and machine launches.
- Participate in Supplier quality activities such as corrective action completion.
- Represent team in SIOP and Gemba
- Must be capable of handling multiple projects at one time.
- Review, analyze and interpret various reports.
- Lead and manage a team of procurement buyers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives, focusing on OTD, cost reduction, quality improvement, and support sourcing with supplier relationship management.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that procurement activities meet operational needs without excess stock.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sourcing, operations, and product development, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and supplier performance to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations and standards in procurement practices.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
A. Education
- B.S. degree in Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
B. Experience
- 5 to 8 years industry experience in materials or purchasing-related discipline on an ERP/MRP system, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Require comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year Experience:
