Summary: Provides secretarial and clerical support for the BDLC Principal. Helps maintain smooth operations and organization of the school.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and minimum of three to five years of progressive clerical experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Process a wide variety of paperwork including travel requests, field trip requests, student activity forms, requisitions, memorandums, reports and letters.
Perform secretarial and clerical duties for principal, including scheduling appointments, processing incoming mail, word processing, copying, answering phones, distributing staff bulletins and school newsletters.
Take and transcribes minutes, letters and memoranda, including material of confidential nature as required by the position; prepares correspondence and memoranda independently or from oral instruction.
Assist staff, teachers and parents as needed and serve as a resource to students, staff and public.
Maintain an organized and visually pleasant office or work station.
Assist with incoming phone calls from staff, parents and general public.
Present a positive image of the school to staff, students, parents and community.
Maintain student records as required.
Register students; withdrawal students.
Order supplies.
Assists with special projects.
Perform data entry as required.
Other duties as assigned.
